What have the Bank's learned from rugby players?

Raising interest rates. You know this is not about saving their business from loss, or ruin. None of the banks have lost a dollar. This is about increasing dividends and consequently share price. There is no other motivating factor.

If you need proof, read the commentary in the press about what happened to bank share prices after the announcement by Commonwealth Bank.

It's so wrong. It is grossly selfish and opportunistic.

It's the real swine virus. Infecting few, but affecting many.

Commonwealth Bank, National Australian Bank, ANZ, Westpac.

Malcolm Turnbull - Budget Reply Speech

Malcolm Turnbull

Budgets will always turn politicians to booze and fags.

Postscript. Did this shortly after Malcolm's speech, and Lindsay Tanner's response to an interview question. He indicated it was worthy of discussion.

Subsequently Kevin Rudd took a different line. Even so, I don't think this point of discussion is over yet.

Now this may say something about me, but the gun on the front of that new destroyer didn't seem that impressive to me. I saw the photo in the weekend Australian. It may be perfect for the job, but, .........

Just noticed the spelling of Defense, now amended, Always, always, use a good dictionary, not a spell checker.
